Whether you’re a student or faculty member, Office 365 can be a powerful tool for collaborating on documents and sharing files. Microsoft has created a cloud-based version of its productivity suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Skype for Business within Microsoft 365. The suite offers unlimited cloud storage, an inbox that can be managed and monitored, and a full suite of apps that can be used on PCs and tablets. Office 365 for students includes a free version of the Office suite that can be installed on up to five personal devices.
In addition to being able to use all the features of the Office suite, students have access to Office 365 for Education. This includes Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as other classroom tools, including OneNote and Microsoft Teams. Office 365 for Education also provides students with unlimited storage for Microsoft OneDrive. Microsoft Teams is a chat-based workspace that allows colleagues to share documents, collaborate on files, and even conduct meetings.
Students can access Office 365 for free at several colleges and universities. Students at Harvey Mudd College and Cockrell School of Engineering will be able to use the full suite of applications in fall of 2021. Other colleges will be able to access Microsoft 365 in spring of 2022. If your school does not offer Microsoft 365, contact your IT department to request it.
The University of Cincinnati offers Microsoft 365 for students. Students can access Microsoft 365 on their PCs, laptops, and smartphones. The software is available free of charge through OnTheHub, and students can also download the entire suite of applications to multiple devices.
Students at Lafayette College can also access Microsoft 365 for free. The software is available from the app store on their smartphones, and students can also download it to a personal computer. Once students install the software on a personal device, they will need to log in with their Lafayette College account. The university’s students’ help center is a great resource for students.
Students at the University of Cincinnati can access Office 365 for free. The software is available on Windows and Mac computers, and the full suite is available for download. The university’s faculty and staff can also sign into Microsoft 365 on up to five personal devices. If you’re interested in downloading the full Microsoft 365 suite, you can contact the university’s IT department.
The University of Cincinnati will also soon offer Microsoft 365 for students. The university’s email and collaboration tool provider, HMC, will soon begin migrating its students to Outlook powered by Microsoft 365. During the COVID-19 pandemic, some faculty members have already begun integrating Microsoft 365 into their teaching. In the future, students will have a more streamlined experience as Teams comes together.
Students at Southwestern College can use Microsoft 365 for free. Microsoft Office ProPlus is available for students, faculty, and staff. The software is available for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices. The university’s faculty can also use the Microsoft Home Use Program.
